The University of Blida 2 presents its strategy to promote the visibility and ranking of the university

This morning, 02/14/2023, the rector of the University of Blida 2 Lounici Ali, Prof. Khaled Ramoul, launched the official opening of the awareness day on the visibility and the ranking of the university, at Said Ayadi Conference Hall, in the presence of the vice-rectors, the head of the local cell for visibility and ranking, the head of the cell for quality, the deans of the faculties and the teachers.
Pr. Ramoul confirmed that the visibility of the university has become one of the main concerns of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, because it is one of the basic criteria that make it possible to improve the
ranking of universities across the country and worldwide. He indicated that the University of Blida 2 has identified a clear strategy which has been formulated by the local cell for visibility and ranking, in the form of executive axes to gain national and international ranking of the above mentioned university.
Prof. Ramoul particularly underlined that these efforts and procedural steps require attention and follow-up from managers and teachers since the “visual&quot” needs concerted efforts and the involvement of the university community among teachers and administrators. On this basis, the Rector appealed the university community to engage in this enterprise in order to win this challenge and this wager.
For his part, Prof. Aissa Berrag, head of the local cell for visibility and ranking of the university, discussed the axes adopted. Therefore, the first axis includes the interest in the design and organization of the university’s website, which is considered a window of communication between the university and various other actors with its support in foreign languages ​​and the necessary information.

The second axis is based on the support and development of scientific research by focusing on the quality of the teaching process and the quality of scientific research, colloquia and events which results must be the subject of an evaluation process with the appreciation of eminent research and published studies. As for the third and fourth axes, they are respectively related to the application of quality standards, and to the improvement of community service through the launch of the University of Blida 2 for Community Service Award, which aims to bring the university closer to its external environment and to activate its service with various organizations and local actors.

The fifth axis is dedicated to updating university productions by creating a forum for university graduate students to benefit from their experiences in the evaluation process. The forum will also be of a great help as to provide its
services to the university by facilitating internships, training, surveys and upgrading.
The vice-president of the aforementioned cell, Prof. Mohamed Yeddou, declared that the visibility is part of the marketing of the academic product with precise methods, and that the promotion of the Algerian university within the national and international ranking aims in fact to resuscitate and activate the three functions of the university:

1) the transfer of knowledge through education,

2) the production of knowledge through scientific research, which is the essence and the pillar of global classification,

3) the supporting the process of sustainable development.

The speaker added that higher education institutions in this sense are seen as a productive system that needs to strengthen its local, national and global productive capacities.

Finally, and in order to enhance the visibility of the University of Blida 2 Lounici Ali, Dr. Sarah Kouider Rabah, vice-rector in charge of external relations and cooperation, made a detailed presentation explaining the methods of
organizing scientific events, while reminding teachers of the steps to follow in order to organize them locally and internationally.
