Blida 2 University Lounici ali
On 04-02-2024, the Rector of the University Blida 2-Lonisi Ali – “Pr. Adel MEZOUG”, welcomes the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Algiers, Mrs. “Antonia Grande”, and the Research Professor, “Genevra Latini”, member of “Italo Calvino” Laboratory, at Sapienza University.
In the presence of:
- Vice-Rectors;
- Deans;
- “ MOUISSI Lamia” Head of the Italian Language Department;
- Director of Intensive Language Teaching Center;
- “ABBAS Djaouida” Professor in the Department of the Italian Language.
The meeting, held at the “AYADI Said” auditorium, aims to promote cultural cooperation. In particular, it is an opportunity for the researcher “Genevra Latini” to introduce students to Calvino’s works, through oral interventions entitled: “Why Read, Teach and Translate Calvino?”
The Rector added that, this is the second meeting of its kind, which demonstrates the strong relationship between Algeria and Italy, based on mutual respect and historical ties. It reflects the willingness of both countries to progress towards a “win-win” partnership by developing and expanding their relations.
As for the Italian researcher, “Genevra Latino” explained in her lecture entitled: “Why Read, Teach and Translate Calvino?” The aim of this conference is to define and promote the teaching and translation of Calvino’s works into Arabic
