On April 17, 2018, the Rector of Blida University 2 – Lounisi Ali – Prof. Khaled Ramoul supervised the launching of the International Conference on “Activating the Role of Islamic Finance in the Algerian Financial Sector”, organized by the Laboratory of Economic and Human Development in Algeria in cooperation with Bayan Engineering Center. Islamic Finance and Research Team Economic dimensions of the Islamic financial industry under the auspices of the President of the Supreme Islamic Council, Dr. Bouabdallah Gholamallah.
The conference was attended by several dignitaries, including the Director General of Salam Bank, Mr. Khaithir Nasser, a representative of Al Baraka Bank, a representative of Al Bader Bank, the General Manager of Salama Insurance Algeria, a representative of the Association of Muslim Scholars, and former Minister of Industry Mr. Smari Abdelkader. MP Ahmed Chaalal, with the participation of a wide range of professors and researchers from Arab universities such as the University of Zaytouna Jordan, Taiz University Yemen, Mosul University Iraq, University of Beni Suef Egypt …, and a national style Blida University 2, University of Constantine, University of Bordj Bou Arreridj , University of Guelma, Souk Harras University….
The conference identified various interventions on the subject of activating the role of Islamic finance in the Algerian financial sector, through interventions and discussions that contributed to the role of activating Islamic banking in Algerian banks, the contribution of the legislature to accompany the application of Islamic finance in Algeria, and the reality and requirements of the direction of Algerian banks towards finance On the sidelines of the conference, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Blida 2 – Lunissi Ali – Salama Insurance Company Algeria on the one hand, and the University of Blida 2 – Lunissi Ali – and Salam Bank on the other.
